Support, primarily in the form of gift cards to schools serving a community within 25 miles of a Ross store. Mission is to create brighter futures by building academic achievement and life skills in economically disadvantaged youth, ages 3-24.
$10,000 to address areas of importance to the Phish fan community (music education for children). Mockingbird is especially interested in projects that encourage and foster creative expression in any musical form, and funds projects that include the provision of instruments, texts and office materials, and the support of learning/practice/performance space and instructors/instruction.

Grants of $2,000 awarded to individuals to participate in high-quality PD like summer institutes, conferences, & seminars; $5,000 grants awarded to groups for collegial study like study groups, action research, & plan development. $675,000 over five years to launch/run 21st Century before and after school programs offering academic, artistic and cultural enrichment opportunities to students at no cost to families. New grantees receive $150,000 a year in years 1-3, $125,000 in year 4, and $100,000 in year 5. Previous grantees may apply for continuation funding ($450,000 over five years — $100,000 a year in years 1-3 and $95,000 a year in years 4-5). KDE typically announces awards in mid-March
$8,000 for installing permanent shade structures for outdoor locations that are not protected from the sun, such as playgrounds, pools, or recreation spaces. Must be recommended by an AAD dermatologist (visit the AAD website to find an AAD member near you)
Up to 20 gallons of EasyCare Ultra-Premium interior and/or exterior paint in any color, plus up to $50 of True Value paint accessories. Hopeful applicants must contact their nearest True Value store — retailers submit applications on behalf of their local schools. Due date reflects the date applications open, and they’re awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
